I make challah almost every week but this one I use sprouted seeds with my challad recipe. This is a 3 braided challah and next week we will do sprouted wheat, sunflowers and lentils. CHALLAH RECIPE BLOOM THE YEAST IN YOUR BREAD BOWL 1/2 C. WARM WATER 105 F. 2 1/4 TSP. YEAST 1 T. SUGAR YOUR CHOICE SEPARATE BOWL BEAT LIGHTLY 2 LARGE EGGS 2 EGG YOLKS 1 1/4 T. KOSHER SALT ADD: 1/2 C. BREAD FLOUR BEAT TOGETHER ADD: 3 T. OLIVE OIL SLOWLY ADD: 1/2 CUP CHOPPED SPROUTS ADD: 2 1/2 C. BREAD FLOUR MIX WELL PUT ONTO FLOURED BOARD AND KNEAD FOR 8 MINUTES LET RISE ALMOST TO DOUBLE IN SIZE PLACE DOUGH ON FLOURED BREAD BOARD. DUST WITH FLOUR AND KNEAD AGAIN. UNTIL DOUGH ISN’T STICKY. CUT INTO 3 EQUAL PORTIONS BRAID TOGETHER BRUSH WITH EGG WASH AND SPRINKLE SEEDS ON TOP OF THE CHALLAH SPRINKLE CORN MEAL ON WARMED BAKING STONE AND PUT THE CHALLAH ON THE STONE. CHALLAH WILL RISE AGAIN IN ABOUT 10 MINS. PREHEAT OVEN 375 F. BAKE 30-40 MINUTES UNTIL DARK BROWNLeave us a comment below to let me know what you thought about the youtube video.
